Dr. Mathis is from Baytown, Texas, and graduated Magna Cum Laude from Ross S. Sterling High School. Prior to moving to the Dallas area in 1984, he earned a B.S. degree in Biomedical Engineering from Tulane University in New Orleans and a M.S. degree in Bioengineering from Clemson University in Clemson, South Carolina. Dr. Mathis graduated in 1988 from Baylor College of Dentistry, Dallas, and moved to Coppell in 1989. Dr. Mathis' wife, Lynda, from Richardson, Texas, is a clinical psychologist. They have two daughters. Madeleine is a 17 year old aspiring artist, pianist, author, and film maker--she is currently entering her latest novel in several contests and recently won Best of Show at her school's Film Festival for her film "Le Loup"--check it out on YouTube, its quite amazing: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TH_lSAliCFA . Chloe is a 14 year old who loves art, video games, texting and playing the trumpet. Dr. Mathis celebrates 22 years practicing dentistry in the Coppell area this March. His hobbies include bicycling on and off road, off road motorcycling, and wood-working. Dr. Mathis also spends his time at church activities and family outings.
